So what is sustainability?
Many of us have been led to think that sustainability entails costly and complex changes in our businesses - changing processes, upgrading equipment, changing the way we commute, and using 'green' energy.
But sustainability is much simpler than that.
Sustainability is simply doing business today in such a way that we still have a business tomorrow.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise that this is how we have always done business.
The only thing that has changed is that, as a race, we are coming to realise the consequences of unfettered consumption - that if we continue consuming our resources today in the way that we have in the past, we are threatening our goals of still being here tomorrow.
So sustainability is about making better choices.
It is about reducing waste in our lives.
It is also the single biggest opportunity for us as business leaders and managers to innovate and grow since the industrial revolution (which, to the astute reader, is why we are in this predicament in the first place, but that is history).
And that is why Redskink is here.
To help you leverage existing technologies and internal systems to waste less, to create new opportunities for your business, to work together to find ways of doing business that do not trash what is currently our only home, and, most important of all -
to prosper.
About this site
Beyond the obvious intent of promoting our services, this site's primary aim is to provide information to business leaders and managers in a clear and concise manner. As such, key points are in bold, each article has a 'Key Points' section, and the content has been written in as plain language as possible - all, hopefully, so that it is easier for you to skim where needed, and absorb what content interests you. Of course, we can't always get it right and openly welcome your feedback.
Please note: Redskink is an Australian business - and proud to say so. Everything on the site is spelt the way we spell it, not the way the Americans do (although we are not immune to the odd typo).
